Overview

Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä was founded durring the late 11th century, by Mpf̄bó̄ Da̋ń̄b 'Munch Sunshine' Gä̋mp̪f̄ Rä̌ Rākīr Jō̋mp̪f̄ Ca̋chīb. The establishment of Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä's construction back out of the project. Mpf̄bó̄ Da̋ń̄b 'Munch Sunshine' Gä̋mp̪f̄ Rä̌ Rākīr Jō̋mp̪f̄ Ca̋chīb pushed on reguardles, and Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä is buildings folow an organic layout of narrow cobblestone streets whihch gives the city a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The city has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the city is well defended against anything short of an army. The cost-cutting-focused defences has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Points of Interest

Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä has been cursed with some blight that makes life difficult, albeit not impossible. An offended sorcerer's vengeful Working, an outraged god's wrath, a local distortion of the Legacy, or a simple history of bad feng shui in the area may have brought the curse about. I(devise not only the curse, but the reason why the locals haven't left for better lands).

Due to a magical anomaly, Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.

POI

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Kami spared the town from the rampage of a legendary monster. One of Zǎ Pō̌yey Ni̋ēkēä's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
